Weighted Single Foot Box Jumps



This exercise teaches vertical jumping unilaterally. By focusing coordination on one side at a time, power output increases in both legs evenly. Height of object being jumped onto should be less than 1/2 of the height you can jump onto with both feet together. Start motion far enough away from box to ensure max height on jump. Make sure to look at box when jumping (not the horizon) and get a good arm motion to propel the body up and forward.
