Leg Press

The leg press is the open-chain exercise version of the squat. Position of the feet affect muscles of the thigh that are prioritized. Wide stances typically emphasize inner thigh muscles, medium width stances use more top of the thigh, and close stances use more of the outer thigh or the "sweep". No matter the width of the stance, it is better to keep feet high on the platform and heels in contact throughout the press to minimize stress on knees. You should be able to still see your toes at the bottom of the motion.
