Lying Leg Lift (arms crossed)

I typically teach the leg lift exercise with the client holding their hands under their hips. This increases leverage and allows most people to perform the exercise will basic strength. By crossing your arms, you greatly reduce that leverage and place much more stress on the upper and lower portion of the abs. When doing this exercise, try to keep your lower back pushed into the floor throughout range of motion and stop exercise if you feel discomfort in your lower back.
