In this exercise a stability ball is used in place of an ab wheel to perform a roll out exercise. The exercise itself incorporates upper and lower abdominals as well as the serratus muscles which run from the upper portion of the rib cage, around to the upper back and under the shoulder blades. Start in kneeling position with arms straight, fingers crossed and hands on top of ball. Next roll ball away from you and allow head to drop down between arms as torso lowers toward floor. Make sure to keep back straight throughout motion and if you feel discomfort in lower back, it is probably because you are not keeping abs drawn in toward spine.
