Standing Chest Press with Weight Sled



We use Blast Straps (a type of THX nylon exercise strap with handle attachments) and secure them to a weight sled for an excellent full body pushing type exercise. This would be well suited for anyone looking to increase overall strength and power output (especially athletes or anyone in a combative type sport). Start the exercise in a split stance with shoulders and hips pointed straight and handles in chest press position. Thrust handles forward with as much momentum as you can create. Step forward and repeat. I prefer to have clients perform sets of 10 with a moderate weight in a superset with 10 push ups and for a total of 4-6 sets. Weight selection is usually moderate.
