Barbell Floor Press

The floor press is a partial range of motion exercise designed to prioritize the mid-point and lockout of the bench press by working the triceps. The can be an essential tool for people trying to work on a sticking point in the motion. Start in front of a squat rack with bar racked at a height you can comfortably reach from a lying position. Keep knees bent, back arched and grip width the same as in you standard bench press. Take bar out of rack and hold above chest. Lower slowly until elbows lightly touch the floor then press to lockout.
