Flyes @ Pec Dec



Flyes are meant to stretch and elongate the pec and shoulder muscles. The Pec Dec is the machine version of the lying d.b. flye. Begin motion by grabbing both handles and starting them together in front of your chest. Arms should be parallel to the ground with wrists, elbows and shoulders lined up straight in front of the center of the chest. Lower weight slowly in a wide arc to sides of the body allowing elbows to bend until muscle is fully stretch then return by squeezing weight back toward the front of your body by pushing arms straight and touching palms together. Take care not to overstretch and cause pain by exceeding your shoulder's range of motion.
