Chest

Lying D.B. Chest Press (Bench)

Using dumbbells instead of a barbell allows your arms to work independently of each other which increases the amount of muscles used in the motion. This also tends to be better for the shoulders (especially if one side is tighter than the other). Begin motion lying on your back with dumbbells held touching each other just over your chest. Make sure your feet are anchored into the floor, your lower back is arched and your chest is up. Slowly lower the weights to outside your torso with palms facing out then press back to start position. While you can lower the weights to below the height of the chest for a stretch, it is unnecessary (a comfortable stretch is sufficient).
