Suspended Push Ups (feet on s.b.)

Exercises like this make the Perfect Push Up child's play in comparison. Suspended pushups can be done with TRX straps or as shown here with Blast Straps (nylon cords with handle attachments by Elite Fts) hanging from the top of a cable crossover or a power rack. The instability caused by doing them suspended with feet on a ball will not only call on more muscle fibers of the chest, but also the shoulder and bicep muscles and core (including abs, lower back and hip flexors) which need to act as stabilizers. While this is an advanced movement and requires much more strength than a standard push up, the cords can be adjusted to raise or lower the handle height. The closer the straps are to the floor, the tougher the set.
