Lying D.B. Rows

The lying dumbbell row is one way to isolate the lat and upper middle back. Lying stomach down is inhibitory of the erector muscles, making your shoulder blades do most of the work. This not only makes the exercise more effective, but it also makes an excellent alternative to other horizontal pulling exercises for people with trouble with low back pain.
