This row is almost impossible to cheat. By using a cambered bar under a slightly inclined flat bench, you are forced to activate your upper back. Start position is lying with head at the top of a bench with bench inclined just enough to allow bar to hang from shoulders during the set. Pull bar toward your lower chest and squeeze shoulders together. I make my clients touch the underside of the bench with the middle of the cambered bar to ensure they are maximizing the range of motion.
