Lat Pulldown
Start
Stop
This exercise is so named for the body part being worked; the latissimus dorsi. It is an open chain exercise which differs from a pull up because the muscle worked pulls the resistance closer versus a closed chain exercise where the exercising body part works against a fixed surface (such as a mounted pull up bar). You will find similar isolation between this exercise and pull ups depending on grip and width.
